Safe passage: our international export protocol
Since 2019, we have delivered rare Aroids from our sanctuary in Thailand to collectors worldwide. With over 17,500 plants safely delivered, our protocol is a refined standard that ensures your resident arrives resilient and ready to thrive.
The Ginny Garden standard
A Commitment to resilience
We believe that every botanical resident must be as resilient as it is beautiful. For this reason, we only offer plants that are healthy and have proven their strength under our daily care.
Pre-departure evaluation: Every plant undergoes a health check by Win and Benz. We only dispatch plants at their strongest to ensure the best possible start in their new home.
Root Stabilization: To comply with global regulations prohibiting soil, we gently transition all plants to a soil-free state. Using sphagnum moss or specialized media, roots are hand-secured to stay hydrated and prevent shifting during transit.
Foliage Protection: We use breathable, custom wrapping designed to shield delicate leaves and maintain the plant’s architecture as it travels the globe.
Export and import compliance
Phytosanitary certification
Every shipment is inspected by the Thai Department of Agriculture (DOA). We secure the official certificate to guarantee your plant is healthy, pest-free, and legally cleared for travel.
Import requirements
Because we want this to be a seamless experience, please verify your local import regulations (such as obtaining an Import Permit, if required) before placing an order. We are happy to work with you to align all paperwork before the box leaves Bangkok.
Delivery
🏷️ Deliver Fee: Shipping is calculated based on your destination and the specific weight and dimensions of your selection. We will provide the final fee once your plants are selected.
🕒 Delivery time: Most international delivery is between 3 to 7 days.
🔍 Tracking: We provide tracking information for every shipment, allowing you to monitor the journey from our garden to your door.
✈️ Delivery partners: For international shipment, we use Thai Post EMS, Dragon Courier, CPN (Vietnam), and Air Cargo.
For domestic (within Thailand), we use Grab (Same-day for Bangkok), Thai Post EMS, and Kerry Express.
Plant Arrival
Botanical jet lag
International travel is a significant transition for any living thing. While our protocol is designed to protect your plant, transit can result in what we call "botanical jet lag." It is natural to see minor root stress or a yellowing leaf as the plant adjusts. Because we focus on sending plants with established root systems, they are well-equipped to recover and resume growth in your environment.
Live arrival promise
We define Live Arrival as a plant delivered with a healthy, viable stem and root system. In the rare event that a resident does not meet this standard, we are here to support you. We require a continuous, unedited unboxing video sent to us within 24 hours of arrival to accurately assess the plant's condition and provide expert recovery guidance. We treat our collectors as partners and work with you directly to find a fair and reasonable solution.
Our goal is simple: to make sure your new plant arrives resilient and ready to thrive in your care.
