Lineage & The Story

Parents: A. luxurians x A. radicans (A Ginny Garden Hybrid)

Grown in: Ginny Garden, Pathum Thani, Thailand.

We love this hybrid for its dramatic "mood swings." It starts its life with neon pink and peach leaves that eventually settle into a deep, pebbled green. We grew this one from seed in 2023 and selected it specifically because the leaf texture is incredibly crisp and the color transition is one of the brightest we’ve seen in our nursery.

Breeder’s Notes

'Pink Lemonade' is a study in texture and transformation. Unlike our darker, velvet hybrids, this cross focuses on the tactile, pebbled surface inherited from the luxurians parent. This specific specimen was selected for the sanctuary because its "flush" (the new growth) stays vibrant for longer than its siblings, providing a spectacular color show before it matures.

Key Botanical Characteristics

  • Emergent Color: Opens as a vivid neon pink, fading into a soft peach-bronze before hardening to deep forest green.

  • Texture: Heavily bullate (pebbled). The surface is deeply corrugated, creating a 3D effect that catches the light from every angle.

  • Sinus: Narrow and sophisticated. We selected this individual for its neat, compact lobe structure.

  • Petiole: Strong and slightly textured, supporting the heavy, "bumpy" architecture of the foliage.

Technical Specifications

  • Rarity Level: Collector Grade / Ginny Garden Selected.

  • Growth Habit: Low-clumping / Spreading.

  • Potting Media: Established in specialized Ginny Garden Mix (soil-free, premium moss and bark base).

Our Care Guide

We want this plant to thrive in your collection, so here is exactly how we maintain its health in Pathum Thani:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is essential. Avoid direct sun, which can "bleach" the neon pink emergent leaf and ruin the iridescent sheen.

  • Humidity: Happy between 70% and 85%. High humidity keeps the pebbled texture flexible as the leaf expands.

  • The Mix: We use an airy, chunky mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco-husk. It likes consistent moisture but hates "wet feet."

  • Settling In: Your plant may experience "transit jet lag." Give it 3 days in a bright, stable spot (under 27°C) to find its feet before moving it to its permanent display.
